Ferris State University

During my time at Ferris State University I worked on a range from live productions to independent projects. I worked in the non linear editing softwares AVID Media Composer and Premiere Pro. Below are some of the projects I created during my time at Ferris State University.

I was the producer along with doing some camera work of the basketball games for this Bulldog Story. The student I chose is, Peter Firlik, a basketball player for Ferris State University. He talks about his journey to Ferris, his passion for basketball, and his plans for the future.  Following this video, the Men's Basketball team won the Division 2 National Championship for the 2017-2018 season.

I had the opportunity to be the camera/editor for this Grand Rapids Foundation segment. It was awesome to leave Big Rapids for the day and to film something we don't typically film every week. My partner and I visited the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts (UICA) and we interviewed James Broe, and Katherine Williams. They talked about how they have a summer program for kids and help them express creativity through different projects!

I was the camera/editor for the Program Spotlight segment on Biochemistry. My partner and I got a taste of Biochemistry through students in the program, along with faculty giving us a more in depth look into the degree program. I loved how the students talked about their different passions along with the reason why they chose the program.

This was one of my more exciting pieces I got to experiment at Ferris. Mealtime was a fun segment because my partner and I got to pick our food of choice and make the process look really easy to make. I was the camera/edit for this segment and this video was showcased at UICA in Grand Rapids in their Open Projector Night, in Spring 2018.

I was the writer, co-producer, and co-camera editor for this Ferris State University commercial for the College of Arts & Sciences. My partner and I gathered some students along with access to classrooms to have potential students get excited for the college and what it has to offer!

I was the producer for this Big Rapids Life segment on Ferris State University making strides to become a tobacco-free campus. The Public Health Student Association received a grant from the American Cancer Society. Along with the grant there are testimonials to why smoking is a negative thing to have on campus.
